Parking Lot Update

 

A reminder that the upper level of the parking lot in back of the Church is reserved for those with special needs. Please be mindful when you are choosing to park to leave those spots open for others who may have difficulty entering the building.

 

 

Worship on Wednesday

 

Worship on Wednesday (WOW) will be held on Wednesday, April 16th at 7:00PM in the Chapel. All are welcome to join together for worship, singing, and prayer. A fellowship time and refreshments will follow. If you would like to play a musical instrument, sing, or offer a prayer, reading, or message, please email alisonhubley@aol.com or call 245-5726.

 

 

Worship on Wednesday (WOW) will be held on Wednesday, May 21st at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel. Our pastor, Rev. Chris Nichols, will speak about the recent trip he and his wife Kathy took to South Africa.  He will also show photographs of some of the places, people and animals they encountered on their journey.  All are welcome to join us for this informative and fascinating presentation.  Participants are needed to sing, play a musical instrument, or share a poem, prayer, or reading.  Please contact Alison Hubley at alisonhubley@aol.com or 245-5726 if you can help.  Refreshments and a fellowship time will follow.


 

Church Spring Clean-Up

 

Mark your calendars!! Clean-up day will be on Saturday, April 26 at 8AM. Bring your favorite garden tool and Wally will put you to work!  We will be spreading topsoil, pruning trees, raking the lawn and much more. Hope to see you there.

 

 

Women's League Crafty Ladies

 

Come join our reinvigorated craft group each Thursday (except on luncheon days) at 10:00AM in the Activity Center. We will be working on crafts for the Meetinghouse Fair this fall. Supplies will be provided, so bring a lunch and stay a while if you can. All hands and ideas are welcome!!

 

 

2008 Madison Interfaith Lecture and Dinner

 

"Reflections on the Religious Culture and Climate of Ethiopia" by Dr. Patrick J. Bayens will be held on April 6 and the Lutheran Church of Madison. Dr. Bayens is Associate Professor of Religion at Concordia College and will share his reflections on the religious climate in Ethiopia, a land historically shared by Christians, Muslims, and Jews. Registration is at 3PM, the lecture begins at 3:30PM and the dinner will be at 5PM. The cost is $10 for the lecture only and $15 for the lecture and dinner.
